Conejo Crisis and Recovery Center
A Conejo Health initiative bringing urgent mental health support to Ventura & Los Angeles County.
The Conejo Crisis and Recovery Center (CCRC) is a planned project of Conejo Health. Our community needs a safe and dedicated space for crisis stabilization and recovery. When complete, the CCRC will be one of the most comprehensive behavioral health facilities of its kind in California, reducing ER wait times, delivering real-time mental health care, and helping prevent violent outcomes during times of crisis.
Care Continuum & Capacity
-
Sobering Center & BHUC
The Sobering Center and Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) operate 24/7 as the first point of entry for individuals in crisis. Both programs are EMS-receiving capable, providing immediate stabilization, observation, and connection to services. Patients who need a higher level of care may transition from the BHUC or Sobering Center to the CSU.
-
32 Bed CSU
A total of 32 Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) beds [two licensed units of 16 beds each]. The CSU is located on a secured floor designated for involuntary stays and serves as the next level of care for individuals who need more support than a behavioral health urgent care or sobering center.
-
32 Bed PHF
A total of 32 Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) beds for stays longer than 23 hours, up to two weeks [two licensed units of 16 beds each]. The PHF is located on a secured floor designated for involuntary stays and serves as the next level of care for patients who require longer treatment after the CSU.
Support & Pledges
Your pledge helps bring the CCRC to life. Corporate partners can sponsor wings, program areas, or specific services within the facility. Pledges are non-binding and only collected if the project moves forward. Every commitment builds momentum and brings the vision closer to reality.
